Welcome to the Heron Inn

The Heron Inn is a beautiful riverside gastropub on the outskirts of Truro, overlooking the Truro and Tresillian river where they join the river Fal. It boasts stunning views across the estuary and is accessible by both car, cycle and boat.

Malpas is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with breath taking views of the rivers and surrounding hills. Covered in trees and foliage, the colours are exciting all year round, and even more so in autumn when the valley comes alive in a sea of reds, browns and yellows. There are fantastic walks from the village to the surrounding countryside, including the riverside walk to the picturesque village of St. Clement, and then onward to Tresillian. Please Note: We do not have any disabled access into The Heron Inn or have any disabled toilets. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause. However, there are disabled toilets next to the Harbour Office at Malpas Marina which is located 50 yards down from The Heron Inn.

Serving freshly prepared, locally sourced food, the Heron Inn has established a reputation as one of the premier places to enjoy the surroundings whilst indulging in finely cooked gasto food. Open all day from 10.00am, serving tea, coffee with a selection of cakes and pastries. Booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. Our full menu and specials from 12pm until 9pm, you can relax in the great atmosphere with a glass of wine from the extensive menu, or an ale from St Austell Brewery’s range. There will always be a warm welcome from the team who will look after you from the moment you arrive to the time you leave.
