Our menu is carefully created by our award winning chef/owner Nick Hemming using only local seasonal ingredients from the South West. Each dish is cooked to order by the team at The Heron with flavour being the priority for our customers. You will find a great choice of daily specials that change dependant on seasonality and availablility. 

You can follow Nick at most of the food festivals in the South West where he is a popular face on the chefs theatre stage, including the Padstow Christmas Festival. Nick has been cooking for over 28 years and has a passion for fresh fish. His recipes are frequently published in magazines, local press & books, including The Great Cornish Food Book.

"After a successful 5 year stint working at St Austell Brewery as their head of food, I decided to leave the business to focus on The Heron with my wife Amanda. The views are simply breathtaking and being able to cook my style of food using some of the best produce in the Country is something that really excites me" says Nick
